In December 2013 the UBC Centre for Advanced Wood Processing will run its annual tour of innovative wood buildings and manufacturing operations showcasing advanced timber construction and housing, including 2 days at the International Wood Construction Conference (IHF) in Garmisch Partenkirschen, which this year is expected to attract a phenomenal 1,500 participants from the architectural design, engineering and manufacturing communities.
This year’s tour will kick off in Vienna and take in various buildings and facilities before arriving in Garmisch, Germany. Following the conference the group will travel to Munich to visit a permanent housing technology exhibition before finishing off at the city’s famous Hofbrauhaus. During the tour, Canadian delegates will have the chance to network with other touring groups from New Zealand and Australia as well as industry professionals from around the world.
