Outside the Box Meetup Group – November

$25Our monthly meetup session brings together designers, manufacturers, artisans, marketing professionals and others who are interested in finding partnerships, identifying market opportunities and pursuing new product possibilities for wood-based products. We meet monthly in an informal environment over food and drinks.
This month UBC wood science guru Simon Ellis will talk about which wood to use for what – how to select wood species and products for various end uses, and how the properties of different species and products affect stability, machining, gluing and other manufacturing parameters. We will also have our regular updates from members on current and upcoming projects, partnerships and opportunities.
