Module 5 is concerned with understanding the wide range of kiln controller technology options available, the functions they perform, associated costs, best uses and practical limitations. The course will discuss how temperature, humidity, moisture content and fan speed can be controlled, and will look in detail at sensor technologies. The range of control strategies currently used will be reviewed, and retro-fitting considerations will also be covered.
